Timotej Lampe Ignjic, 23, from Slovenia, is going to skate Simple Session for the third time this year. Timotej started skateboarding when he was 12 and has not skipped a day since that. He has won numerous podium places around Europe and definitely wants to get one at Simple Session. Timotej is sponsored by Burn Energy Drink, DC Shoes, Different Eyewear, Obsesen, Target and 69Slam.

1. How did you feel when you were invited first time to Simple Session? What are your thoughts about this year’s event?

I was super stoked, it’s one of the biggest skate contests in Europe! I can’t wait to go to Estonia this year, it’s going be fun for sure.

2. What is different about Simple Session compared to other events that you have visited?

I don’t know, for me every contest have some good properties but Simple Session, it’s like totally different athmosphere, crazy park, good skateboarding, winter time, crazy partys everyday… It’s dope!

3. Signature move, what is always in your run?

Probably a backside 360.. I love them.

4. Do you know anything else about Estonia or Estonians besides Simple Session?

Yeah I always go around the city which is small but really beautiful, people are really nice and it’s just good to be there.

5. Do you have any people you want to thank for making it to Simple Session?

Yes definitely thanks to Mario and Risto for making this huge contest and letting me skate there!

Kristo ‘’Kusti’’ Õismets, 24, from Tallinn Estonia, won the best Estonian Skater Award in 2014, which also got him a spot in this year’s event. Kristo has been skating about 10 years and he’s definitely one of the best riders in Estonia. He is sponsored by the local skateshop Surfhouse, Supra, Volcom and Moist Squad.

1. How would you describe Estonia and the culture here to a foreigner?

It’s just a small country with beautiful scenery. You have to come here and witness it yourself, it’s the easiest way to understand Estonia and it’s culture.

2. What do think might be the reasons why Estonian skate scene is significantly smaller than other countries around us? What could we do to get more guys/girls into skateboarding?

I think it’s the mentality about skateboarding. People here in Estonia don’t look at it like a sport or something, but see us as 15 year olds goofing around the city and make a lot of noise. Skateboarding is just as good as cross country skiing and other typical sports. We should promote skateboarding as a cool way to have fun and make it irresistible for younger generations.

3. Signature move what is always in your run?

Hard to say. Depends how the park is built up. All tricks are awesome.

4. What else are you up to besides skateboarding? Studying, working etc.

I lost my job like 1 month ago. So at the moment i’m just chilling, skating as much as I can and having a good time.

5. Many readers probably ask what or who is Moist Squad, anything you want to tell them about it?

Our slogan: Many might think that they are not in Moist Squad, but they actually are.

We are a bunch of friends who skate and have a good time.

6. Do you have any people you want to thank for making it to Simple Session?

I would like to thank Surfhouse and Martin Kuum for supporting me, all my friends and family for everything they have done for me.

Peace!

We have signed up no other than Etnies rider Tom Dugan!

Tom’s riding is full throttle and his antics are pure weird (fun). Tom is a character and also former Simple Session finalist.

The excitement around the event is amazing. It’s like being on Street League! I love it.

It depends on the park but I think 540 on quarter pipe and kickflip backside lip on rails.

People are so cool and girls are amazing!! Hahaha
